We ate at Frankies last June while touring on the Silver Comet Trail. We had an Italian salad with chicken. It was fabulous! The service was excellent and friendly. What an asset for trail riders!

was very pleased with the service and food. The atmosphere was great. The restaurant is located next to the Silver Comet Trail which makes it great to stop in for a quick bite. Good job to the whole staff and I'll back for more in the near future.

Members of C4 (Covington, Conyers Cycling Club) set out on on 7/31/10 for a much anticipated ride to the Ritz Carlton of Italian Restaurants - better known as Frankie's - for some awesome, out of this world, mouth watering, fresh out of the oven - BREADSTICKS! I warned our team long before we left on the Facebook invitation I sent out, not to eat too many as the dough might weigh folks down on the 22 mile trek back, but of course no one listened to me. :-)
We munched on those sticks until one of our team members asked for more. There were 4 left after we finished our lunch, and we just couldn't see them going to waste, so we loaded the remainder in the back pocket of one of our riders and he ate every one of them - and never shared one with any of us...
All each of us heard from Monty on the way back to our starting point was, "I want more breadsticks!" We will beyond a doubt, make another 60 mile drive from Conyers to park in Hiram, and then ride our bikes for a 44 mile round tr

One of the best things about working on the square in downtown Rockmart, was being walking distance from Frankie's! I love her food, the place is comfortable and has a back room for groups, plus it is right at the Silver Comet Trail, so I can go for a quick walk after eating. Thanks for having a nice restaurant for us to enjoy!

My cousin John & I, both former Cedartownions(sp?)were rescued by Frankie and staff from the sweltering heat and thunderstorm this past Saturday. Frankie's service, food, and personality more than overfilled us for our trip back to C'town. We recommend you go there after your ride, otherwise the food is too good and tempting to overfill you. Being both cyclists and locals, we welcome this Joisey girl to the South.

Savannah, GA crew of thirteen rode Atlanta to Anniston day one, and back the next. One of the highlights was riding up to Frankie's for a wonderful meal. Great food, no goos or gels, in a bicyclist friendly atmosphere. Frankie makes it fun to show up. Sign your name on the walls. We loved the place!

Rode the Silver Comet from Smyrna to AL May 15 and stopped in at Frankies for an outstanding lunch. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was excellent with the breadsticks coming fast and the drink glasses being refilled quickly and often. And Frankie entertained us with great conversation and let us sign the wall.
Frankie's is a must if you're riding the Comet through Rockmart!

I just found you again. I used to eat at Frankie's in Austell and miss it terribly. I always loved the creamy garlic dressing with it's (secret)ingredients. We had a graduation party for my daughter and her cousin and one of the hostesses brought that dressing. I knew the minute it hit my tongue what it was. I want to know if you ship your dressing. I live in Lawrenceville now and would love to get some.

Lunch at Frankie's was FABULOUS!! One of the last times my husband, Jeffrey and I rode the SCT, Frankie was on vacation, so we didn't get a chance to meet her. Frankie had her back to me as she was telling Jeffrey and our friend, Richard where we could sit. I said, "You must be Frankie. The last time we were here, you weren't." She reached out and hugged me and told me she was sorry she missed us. :-) She asked us if we signed her wall and I showed her where we signed it on 9/5/09 when we rode our first 80 mile ride...A great place to eat - THAT IS FOR SURE!! Until next time...

We are cycling from AL to Atlanta along the Silver Comet. Fifteen of us (Team Redneck Huntsville Alabama) will eat lunch at Frankie's. This year a group of Atlanta Rednecks is ridin' out to meet us! And of course we have our Michigan Rednecks again this year! We always call ahead and lunch is ready when we git there! It's worth the trip for sure and we couldn't pass through Rockmart without a group photo and hug from Frankie!!!

We stopped by Frankie's at the reccomendation of a friend who biked the Silver Comet Trail frequently. They told us about this cute little resturant just off the trail and really built it up to a very high expetation.
When we arrived we were greeted by the sweetest lady that made us feel like we had known here all our lives. Such was the beginning of our first homecomming to Frankie's. It won't be our last.

Well, the good thing is I was able to eat at Frankie's twice over the weekend. Once on the way to Anniston. Once on the ride back to Atlanta. On the return trip the five of us were all very wet, soaked actually, dripping all over the restaurant, making a huge mess. I'm not sure I would have wanted five soaked cyclists at my table, but Frankie welcome us. Our wet cycling clothes hung over half the restaurant, dripping while we rested and ate and enjoyed Frankie's company.
My friends and I enjoyed the hospitality and the food, as always. Frankie runs a superior establishment, with superior food, superior service and great hot chocolate for a cold, wet cyclist.
On top of that Frankie and her staff treat you as an old and honored friend.
If I lived in Atlanta I'd ride out to Frankie's way too often in an effort to get tired of the place, or the food, or Frankie. It would be a failed effort. I could eat there several times a week and enjoy every meal.
The bad thing is

Cyclists from all over the world go to the Silver Comet Trail and if they are lucky, they too stumble upon Frankie's Restaurant. Once they enter the doors, they are greeted with a warm smile and are served the best Italian food and an invitation to sign the wall. They also have their photo taken which is placed on corkboards alongside many other cyclists who visit the restaurant.
A very special thanks to our fabulous server who recommended the Egg Plant Parmesan; it was to die for and with two starving cyclists who would have eaten just about anything at that point; we savored the flavors, the atmosphere and the hospitable staff at Frankie's Restaurant. Johnny even took our water bottles, cleaned them and filled them with ice cold cubes and water which made our ride back so much better.
My husband is a chef and said, "The staff at Frankie's is what I consider 5 stars where folks who work at the Ritz Carlton treat you just as special." Our fantastic server (so very sorry, but I

to ask for directions to the nearest restaurant and was told by the store clerk there were several eateries in Rockmart, GA about 4-5 miles up the path. The store attendant said, "You can't miss them; Kentucky Fried Chicken, Arby's, etc." This was a miscalculation on the store clerk's part. We rode and rode and rode, only to find that the next eatery was about 8-10 miles up the path.
I asked a lady on the path (after we turned around discovering there was no eateries in close proximity to us) who was riding with her two children where the closest Subway was, and because she was not from around these here parts, she laughed and said, "What Subway?" We laughed with her and said restaurants. ..Then she told us about Frankie's Restaurant.
I was told earlier last week by Mary Ann Rickets and a few others that Frankie's was the best little Italian place on the trail (actually the only one right on the trail).

What a wonderful ride we had at the Silver Comet yesterday; September 5, 2009. Jeffrey and I rode (what we consider) our FIRST Metric Century. Jeffrey rode 84 miles and I rode 82.24 miles. The ride was sponsored by MasterCard and was fully supported by one Power Bar and several Power Bar Drink Mixes. WOW are we beat!
We started at the East/West Connector Trail Head Entrance off S. Cobb Dr. The ride took us about 9.5 hours. We averaged 12+ mph which is great for me because my speed is slow at times. The time estimation includes deducting the times we stopped; several times to take pictures and once to eat - which we should not have done only because it was very challenging to get back in the saddle. However, we don't regret it one bit because we found Frankie's Restaurant.
We made the mistake of not eating a full breakfast, but then again we only planned on riding 50 or so miles. We stopped at a store off Coot's Lake Road (about 33.5 miles up the trail from the E/W Connector) to

I'm in Laughlin, NV, playing golf with Frankie and she is staying with us in our condo. She is a very fun person even though it is occasionally difficult to get her to go home from the casinos. We hope she will return next year when we are playing in Palm Springs, CA. One of the people in the condo is Norma Debo who is a friend of hers from Georgia. My name is Jo Basel and the other people in the condo are Tom Hughes and Mike Basel. It is seriously hot here but Frankie is a champ and sticking it out at the golf courses and in the condo with us because we tend to be a wid bunch sometimes. Hopefully if we ever get to Georgia we will get to eat at Frankie's place.

I have known Frankie for quite awhile and not only is her food the best Italian cuisine in the Metro Atlanta area (my personal opinion, but I know many others would agree), her hospitality makes the experience that much better! She has never met a stranger and treats all her customers like family! AND she has everyone sign her wall and she gets pictures of her guests and posts them on the wall! What other resturant values their customers like that??? Terri Wilson

Tonight was my first dining experience at Frankie's, and it will most definitely not be my last. My parents had the pleasure of dining at Frankie's last weekend and could not wait for me to go with them this week. I was thoroughly impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere. However, I do believe the best part of my evening was gaining an adopted grandmother in Frankie. After meeting her, it is very clear why Frankie's is such a wonderful place to dine. It's not just about the food. It's about the experience.

We have enjoyed Frankie's awesome breadsticks w/creamy garlic dressing (which you can purchase to take home) since she had her restaurant in Austell. When she left us in Austell we were crushed and wondered if we would ever get our favorite italian foods again. Way back then she served my favorite dish she makes called Scuita!!! It is the best! When our son, Michael, who now lives in Rockmart, came across her restaurant he went in and was excited to see her serving food once again. Our first visit after rediscovering her new restaurant was so wonderful. She made us feel so welcome and passed out hugs and when I asked about Scuita (which is NOT on her menu) she immediately said she would cook it for me!! It has been heaven since and every visit to Rockmart now comes with an added visit to Frankie's for breadsticks and Scuita!! Frankie is the warmest and sweetest person you could ever meet! We love you Frankie!!!

Frankie's has been a favorite stop for my bike riding buddies for over 5 years. We have stopped there via the Silver Comet and had at least 9 lunches and last Saturday night dinner. We have had everything on the menu that pertains to Italian and it was all delicious, served quickly and priced right. Frankie has become a good friend and always extends a welcome. We arrivied Saturday night via bicycles from Anniston and after a night in Rockmart contined on Sunday to home in Atlanta, a 97 mile trip so you can imagine the appetite we had Saturday night. Good luck Frankie and keep on cookin.

Wow! What service! Bob, John, and I (Glen) just finished bicyling from Weaver Rd. (just north of Anniston, Al). The reason we planned to stay over at Rockmart was so we could eat at our favorate place, Frankie's. We have had many lunches during our Silver Comet rides, all great. Well we were sick of riding and we were staying at the Ecno Lodge which is about 2.5 miles from our dinner goal of enjoying another meal with Frankie. We called her and she not only picked us up, she brought us back. What a gal!!! Dinner was the best ever. We loved it all. Thanks. Glen

When Frankie left her Austell location my wife was crushed. We lost track of her until one day riding through Rockmart we needed to stop at the bike shop by the trail. To our dismay the bike shop was gone. But, to our great pleasure Frankie's was in that location. We were not prepared to eat at that time, though Frankie warmly welcomes cyclists (and bikers too, we understand).
We returned one evening for dinner and it is every bit as good as we remember. The breadsticks with the creamy garlic sauce for dipping are incredible. The lasagna was wonderful as was the spaghetti. Well worth the trip to Rockmart out Route 278. And Frankie is as equally warm and welcoming as are her bread sticks.

What a great place to stop and eat as you bike the trail. The food is always great and even better is the way you are treated by Frankie and others. Frankie Rocks Rockmart! That's all there is to it! We live in Smyrna and cycle out to Frankie's whenever we get a chance. She greets us with a big smile and hugs and keeps those yummy breadsticks and sweet tea coming. It's worth the 75 miles in the saddle for her great food and hospitality.
